Childhood

In the midst of play, children will occasionally stop in a moment of reflection. I don't know what they think about, but their expressions are often well beyond their years. I am captivated by these childhood pauses.

Perhaps this quote describes these moments more clearly:
"Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known."
